PANEL: Gaining assurance in optimising rail passenger experiences through passenger feedback

Weiwei is an innovative designer and strategist who has worked across a wide range of industries from consumer electronics and retail strategy to automotive, rail and aircraft cabin interiors. This cross-sector experience has enabled Weiwei to build knowledge and develop a specialism for innovation in the mobility sector, delivering programme management to clients at board level. During two decades at tangerine Weiwei has worked on over 20 rail projects. She now heads up the rail team at the studio, a position that has enabled her to form key partnerships with high-profile clients such as Volkswagen, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles, Talgo and Heathrow Express.

Ian Wright is Head of innovation and partnerships at Transport Focus. He has led much of the organisation’s work on rolling stock. Prior to this, Ian was Head of insight at Transport Focus, growing the organisation’s understanding of transport users. As an insight specialist Ian has spent his career dissecting customer experience across many sectors, be that transport, retail, financial services, energy, FMCG. This has been whilst working for client companies, research agencies, consultancies, and his own company. While it would be slightly misleading to claim a masterplan, there is a transport theme running through Ian’s CV- previous roles have also included a focus on air passengers, when at British Airways, and car drivers (Ford was the main client when at Goldfarb Consultants).

Matthijs Keur has a 30+ year experience as a people and projects manager in rail vehicle engineering, both for new built and refurbishment of NS rolling stock.

Augustin is the R&D Director for Interiors Product Family at Alstom, in charge among others of lighting, garnishing, ducting, glazing, racks, integration of multimedia equipment, as well as front-end & signatures. He has a 20yrs+ background in leading R&D and Innovation as well as business development for various industries. He will share Alstom’s approach towards more sustainable train interiors and the main challenges & opportunities ahead.
